moep.world is a small, two-player collaborative poetry app. This page is a plain-language account of what we collect, why we collect it, and what we promise never to do with it.

What we collect

• Your first name. Shown to your partner inside the game so they know who they're writing with. Never displayed publicly.
• Your WhatsApp number. Used to send turn notifications. Stored in our database. Never displayed publicly.
• Your poem text. The lines you and your partner write are stored so the game can resume across sessions.
• Your IP address (briefly). Sent to ipapi.co to detect your country, which pre-selects the correct flag in the phone-number field. Not stored on our side.
• Anonymous usage events. We log actions like "game created," "line submitted," "poem ended" to PostHog for product analytics. No payload includes your name or number.

Who sees what

• Your partner sees your first name and the visible lines you write. Never the hidden lines, never your phone number.
• The public gallery shows ended poems with their text and the AI painting. Names and phone numbers are never attached.
• We don't sell your data. Not to anyone, ever.

Third-party processors

moep.world relies on these services to function:

• Twilio delivers WhatsApp and SMS text notifications. Receives your phone number and message content.
• Pollinations.ai generates the AI paintings from your visible poem text. Receives poem text only.
• ipapi.co detects country code from your IP. Receives your IP at page-load time.
• PostHog handles product analytics. Receives anonymous interaction events.

Cookies and analytics

moep keeps cookies to a minimum. We use no advertising cookies and no cross-site tracking. The only non-essential piece is privacy-friendly product analytics (PostHog), and we load it only after you allow it. If you are in the EU or UK, analytics stays off until you opt in. Everywhere else, analytics is on by default and you can turn it off at any time.

A few small items live in your browser's local storage to keep the game working: your language choice, a link back to your poems, and your privacy choice. Those are essential and are never used to track you.

Your rights

If you are in the EU, the UK, or a place with similar laws, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct anything inaccurate.
• Erase your data (see our data deletion page).
• Restrict or object to how we use it.
• Withdraw your analytics consent at any time, using Privacy choices above.
• Receive a copy of your data in a portable format.
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Our legal basis: we process your name and number to run the game you asked to play (performance of a contract), and we use analytics only with your consent. To exercise any of these rights, email me@subagent.marketing.

California residents

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information. moep does not sell your personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We will never treat you differently for exercising these rights. To opt out of analytics, use Privacy choices above. To make a request, email me@subagent.marketing.

How long we keep it

• Ended poems live in the public gallery indefinitely.
• Your name and phone are kept as long as you have an active host invite or active games.
• Send a deletion request to me@subagent.marketing and we'll remove your records within 7 days.
